Zumiao Temple

I can't believe I've been in China over a month. I still love it. Maybe I'm in a honeymoon phase? But I think China is a very easy place to live in. It's very cheap. Very convenient. Very fun. Very urban.
I do miss nature. I miss quiet places with no people. I miss dry air. I miss paved sidewalks. I miss Mexican food. But other than that, things are good.

Catching up with my pictures that finally downloaded (SUCCESS!), here is one of my early weekend trips to Zumiao.
Zumiao is just another part of the city. It's pretty posh in parts.
It also has a historic temple.
It's insanely intricate. There was a little museum attached with tons of cool history about the gods worshipped here and the meanings of some of the carvings and metal work.
My favorite part was the Confucius temple off to the side.
Metal-work cranes.
Another wishing tree. I take so many pictures of them.

The gorgeous garden by the smaller temple

I bet you didn't know, but the famous Kung Fu master IP man was born and raised in Foshan. There was a little section of the museum dedicated to his life.

Next, I went to a small ancestral temple nearby. It was a whim. But I'm so glad I went.

It was basically just an old house and garden, but it was so cute.

Can't wait to show you my other old pictures next weekend:)
