The ancient kiln. So my first real weekend here, this was the first place I decided to visit. It's not too far away, and even without a bank card or metro card set up yet, I was able to take the bus (only 2 yuan within the city) and get away for the day. The whole place was surrounded my a pretty lake and park which I explored first.
Next up was a little Buddhist temple within the park. I really loved this one. It was quiet and there weren't many visitors.
After that I went into the kiln area. There's a whole pottery market there with shops and restaurants. It's really cute!
I had to pay a bit to get into the actual kiln, but it was worth it. WOW! So much cool history.
This holy tree was where lovers would meet after working at the kiln.
Stray cats everywhere:)
So that was the trip. I loved it. Stay tuned for more mini adventures next weekend.
I love seeing these places! The shapes and textures in the architecture, the plants, cultivated and not, the feel of it all. The pottery market is so cool!
